White House officials have dismissed the movement’s complaints as “blown out of proportion,” arguing that pro-life voters will continue to support Republicans as the only viable alternative.31 Total abortion numbers have actually increased since the fall of Roe, a fact that underscores the movement’s frustration with the administration’s approach.31
Tuesday, June 30 – Commemoration of Saint Paul, Apostle – Blessed Raymond Lull, Franciscan Tertiary – Anniversary of the episcopal consecrations of June 30, 1988
– Folha de S. Paulo, February 26, 1969 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira ONE of the themes of the Brotherhood Campaign invited all Brazilians to reflect upon the maxim: “We are all brothers, we are all equal.” To such reflections, I dedicate my words of today which, regardless of their merit, at least have the distinction of being disseminated in a newspaper [Folha de S. Paulo] with a very large circulation. From the outset, I knew the task would be difficult. By heartfelt sentiments that spring from the innermost being, by that special discernment — tacit though it may be — that senses the simple, sublime, great truths of life, and by the mark impressed on him by Christian tradition, the Brazilian is convinced we are all equal and brothers. This is illustrated by the profound historical reality of [Brazil’s] miscegenation, which is based on the equality and fraternity of the races. Undoubtedly, the mentors of the campaign realize this. Accordingly, their objective does not lie in repeating …More
Today, Don Davide Pagliarani, Superior of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), responded to the 2 July decree of excommunication. It "once again highlights the deeply tragic situation facing the universal Church." He claims that the FSSPX's actions are motivated solely by the desire to save souls and insists that the Fraternity does not seek to replace the Church, but to remain faithful to her. Using the biblical imagery of asking for bread, fish, and an egg (cf. Luke 11:11–13), he says the Fraternity's requests were met with rejection, symbolised by receiving a stone, serpent, and scorpion. According to Pagliarani, the FSSPX had asked to be instructed and confirmed in "the faith of all time", yet was instead declared schismatic for a second time. His central statement is this: "The FSSPX promises You today that it will not receive these new sanctions - objectively unjust and invalid - with bitterness or revolt." Don Pagliarani concludes by expressing confidence that one …More
The Prayer for the Church and Civil Authorities is a traditional American Catholic devotion composed by Archbishop John Carroll in the late 18th century, which has become a central part of the liturgical patrimony of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP). The Prayer We pray Thee, O Almighty and Eternal God, who through Jesus Christ hast revealed Thy glory to all nations, to preserve the works of Thy mercy; that Thy Church, being spread through the whole world, may continue, with unchanging faith, in the confession of Thy name. We pray Thee, who alone art good and holy, to endow with heavenly knowledge, sincere zeal, and sanctity of life our chief bishop, Leo XIV, the Vicar of our Lord Jesus Christ in the government of His Church; our own Bishop, (or Archbishop,) N.; all other Bishops, Prelates, and Pastors of the Church; and especially those who are appointed to exercise among us the functions of the holy ministry, and conduct Thy people into the ways of salvation. We pray Thee,…More
"John and Peter poured some water on his hands, which he held over the plate on which the azymous loaves had been placed; then he took a little of the water which had been poured on his hands, in the spoon that he had taken out of the lower part of the chalice, and poured it on theirs. After this, the vase was passed round the table, and all the Apostles washed their hands in it. I do not remember whether this was the precise order in which these ceremonies were performed; all I know is, that they reminded me in a striking manner of the holy sacrifice of the Mass."
[Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich; XVIII-XIX Century; born: 8 September 1774 Flamschen, Coesfeld, Prince-Bishopric of Münster, Holy Roman Empire/ died: 9 February 1824 (aged 49), Dülmen, Kingdom of Prussia, German Confederation; mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist; Roman Catholic Augustinian canoness] MEDITATION VIII ‘Institution of the Holy Eucharist’ By command of our Lord, the major-domo had again laid out the table, which he had raised a little; then, having placed it once more in the middle of the room, he stood one urn filled with wine, and another with water underneath it. Peter and John went into the part of the room near the hearth, to get the chalice which they had brought from Seraphia’s house, and which was still wrapped up in its covering. They carried it between them as if they had been carrying a tabernacle, and placed it on the table before Jesus. An oval plate stood there, with three fine white azymous loaves, placed on a piece of linen, by the side of the half loaf …More
Never thought that this would be how it would manifest. Conditional prophecies suggested that they would be the enemy but it is in fact the western leaders goading and provoking Russia constantly.
I meant to add that's my opinion about them stepping up their attacks in Russia. It's how I see it. Also some people were asked if they think Putin will start to attack other countries weapon factories. They all agreed not at all. Putin tries to make peace. He wants nothing to do with war. I left a list of people I listen to awhile back. We can learn so much from them. History, what's going on etc.
Get your body in good health as it will help with your spiritual prayer life and in your state of life; a body that doesn't function properly can interfere with one's Focus on the Ultimate Goal - Heaven-and the demons will pounce on you to get you to focus only on your failing body. Try turn your suffering into to joy by uniting it with Our Lord's suffering in atonement for sins of the world, salvation of souls, relief for the souls in purgatory, and that the True Magisterium of the Catholic and Apostolic Church will not be lost nor watered down!
Clash Report @clashreport Germany's Chancellor Merz: We can no longer accept the extraordinarily high levels of sick leave in our companies. We are abolishing sick leave by telephone and introducing the requirement to submit a medical certificate from the very first day of illness. We know this is a tough decision. But we can no longer afford this competitive disadvantage caused by prolonged absences from work.
" Wherefore, when the soul knows herself, as we have said above, she finds humility and hatred of her own sensual passion, for she learns the perverse law, which is bound up in her members, and which ever fights against the spirit. And, therefore, arising with hatred of her own sensuality, crushing it under the heel of reason, with great earnestness, she discovers in herself the bounty of My goodness, through the many benefits which she has received from Me, all of which she considers again in herself. She attributes to Me, through humility, the knowledge which she has obtained of herself, knowing that, by My grace, I have drawn her out of darkness and lifted her up into the light of true knowledge."
'About the Love of God and the Love of a Neighbor' ~ [Saint Catherine of Siena /Caterina di Benincasa/; XIV-XV Century AD; born: Siena, Republic of Siena/died: Rome, Papal States; aged 33; Spiritual Writer; Mystic; Virgin; Doctor of the Church] How virtues are accomplished by means of our neighbour and how it is that virtues differ to such an extent in creatures. " I have told thee how all sins are accomplished by means of thy neighbour, through the principles which I exposed to thee, that is, because men are deprived of the affection of love, which gives light to every virtue. In the same way self-love, which destroys charity and affection towards the neighbour, is the principle and foundation of every evil. All scandals, hatred, cruelty, and every sort of trouble proceed from this perverse root of self-love, which has poisoned the entire world, and weakened the mystical body of the Holy Church, and the universal body of the believers in the Christian religion ; and, therefore, I said …More
When Tucho Called Excommunications Terrible. From the Archives: In a homily delivered by Víctor "Tucho" Fernández, then Archbishop of La Plata, on 5 March 2023 at the Cathedral of La Plata, Argentina, he said: "You know that, for many centuries, the Church went in another direction. Without realizing it, it developed an entire philosophical and moral framework full of classifications—to categorize people, to label them. This one is like this, that one is like that. This one can receive Communion; that one cannot. This one can be forgiven; that one cannot. It is terrible that this happened to us in the Church. Thank God Pope Francis is helping us free ourselves from those rigid patterns of thinking."
"Este es así, este es asá, este puede comulgar, este no puede comulgar, a este se le puede perdonar, a este no, terrible que nos haya pasado eso en la Iglesia, gracias a Dios el papa Francisco nos ayuda a liberarnos de esos esquemas".
