THE SEVEN WORDS SPOKEN BY JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS 1. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Lk 23:34) O loving tenderness of Jesus towards men! St. Augustine says that when the Savior was injured by his enemies, he besought pardon for them; for he thought not so much of the injuries he received from them, and the [280] death they inflicted upon him, as upon the love which brought him to die for them. But some may say, Why did Jesus pray to the Father to pardon them, when he himself could have forgiven their injuries? St. Bernard replies that he prayed to the Father, not because he could not himself forgive them, but that he might teach us to pray for them that persecute us. The holy abbot …Ավելին

Medjugorje's Answer Was Not Anger; It Was Prayer, Forgiveness, and Hope - Shalom World News They covered Our Lady with paint. They tried to scar a place of prayer. But they could not extinguish what lives in the hearts of believers. The wounds inflicted on the sacred spaces of Medjugorje have already begun to heal. Volunteers and parish workers immediately came together to clean, restore, and prepare the sanctuary once again, ensuring that every pilgrim can continue to encounter Christ in prayer under the loving gaze of the Queen of Peace. Yet the most powerful response has not been brushes, water, or repairs—it has been the Gospel. For more than forty years, Our Lady's message in Medjugorje has remained the same: pray, fast, forgive, and choose peace. In the face of hatred, the parish has chosen mercy. Instead of anger, it offers forgiveness. Instead of condemnation, it prays for the conversion of those responsible, asking that God's grace touch their hearts and lead them back to the …Ավելին
Ավելին
Rev. Gerald Murray Questions Vatican's Rupnik Trial: The New York-based canon lawyer criticises the lack of transparency in the Vatican's canonical trial against Marko Rupnik. "Why don't we know who the judges are?" he asked talking to Raymond Arroyo on 25 July. Rev Murray also pointed out that "we don't know which charges" are being levelled against Rupnik. Finally, he argues that victims who provided evidence should have the right to participate in the process. "The whole thing is a horrific problem."

– Folha de S. Paulo, May 16, 1984 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira We still live — and increasingly so — under the banner of openness. Therefore, comments on current Brazilian affairs often mention this. ‘Openness’ here means the freedom for everyone to think, speak, act, move freely, and do more or less whatever they want; a freedom that constantly expands and therefore has no clear limits. Many believed that once this freedom was established, everything in the country would be heading toward resolution. They overlooked that liberalizations without clear boundaries neither create nor strengthen true freedom. Since they tend to allow everyone to do whatever they want, these liberalizations can actually lead to chaos, and eventually to an even worse dictatorship. In fact, undefined liberalization inevitably turns chaotic, and gradually, a terrible enemy emerges before them. This enemy is an unwritten law, not created through legislation, but painfully real, howling, originating from the …Ավելին
Pro-homosexual Archbishop John C. Wester of Santa Fe, New Mexico, defended "our Muslim neighbors' right to worship" in a July 27 statement. He had heard in recent weeks concerns from some residents regarding the proposal to build a mosque and community center in Albuquerque's North Valley. "Our Muslim neighbors have the same God-given and constitutionally protected right to worship freely as every other faith community, including our own. Defending that right is not only a civic duty but a core element of Catholic teaching", the Archbishop wrote. According to Monsignor Wester, supporting the construction of a mosque is entirely consistent with Catholic tradition and moral commitments. He urged Catholics to "choose respect, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence." In 2025, it emerged that, Archbishop Wester promoted and lived with a priest who had spent ten years in a registered homosexual relationship. Picture: AI, #newsXofkbkkgnx

A 31-year-old Polish man, identified by regional media as Bartłomiej Włodzimierz Krakowiak, has been arrested for vandalizing the Marian shrine of Medjugorje during the night of 27–28 July, just days before Mladifest, which is expected to attract around 50,000 young pilgrims. "Medjugorje Is a Deception" The suspect allegedly poured black paint over statues of the Virgin Mary on Apparition Hill and at the Blue Cross, wrote "Devil in a skirt" on one statue. He hung banners accusing the six visionaries of being "frauds - I have proof", spray-painted slogans including "Medjugorje is a deception," "Only Jesus," and "Mary = devil," and set fire to the recently renovated outdoor altar behind St. James Church. He was arrested hours later in Černo, near Ljubuški, heading toward the Croatian border. Former Pilgrim The case is particularly striking because the suspect had previously visited Medjugorje as a pilgrim. Regional media report that in 2017 he walked 1,300 km from Warsaw to the shrine, …Ավելին

We are experiencing a huge rise in our food bills. And many foods are disappearing. Many people can't afford to eat a decent meal anymore. With the west and US trying to cripple Russia and starve her, it is obvious it isn't working. Instead it has backfired on us. I think there were close to 40,000 sanctions on Russia in the beginning of this year. Trump put more on them. And not only planning to put a huge package of sanctions on Russia, but he is encouraging everyone else to do the same. I will first post this video. Don't go beyond the food market. He made me very hungry. After the market he will do a small walk around the city of Saint Petersburg. Then he is stuffing his face again. So be ready. He orders two different soups. Stroganoff, fish and other delicious foods. Where did he put all that food? Your guess is as good as mine. --- Russian Street Food Market!! | Saint Petersburg, Russia! --- This person I have posted before. It's only a month old. 1 kilo is 2.205 a lb. Just …Ավելին
Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington D.C. authorised monthly lay "commentary" during the Eucharist at the Jesuit parish of Holy Trinity in Georgetown, according to BigModernism.Substack.com (July 28). The blog published a letter dated 4 February 2026 and signed by Fr James Casciotti, SJ. The letter responds to concerns raised by a correspondent about the parish's liturgical practices. Fr Casciotti addresses several issues, including chatting until just before the Eucharist. The key passage states: "You should know that the Cardinal has given permission for lay commentary once a month at Holy Trinity [...]". The letter does not identify the cardinal by name. In February 2026, Cardinal Robert McElroy was Archbishop of Washington, having been appointed in January 2025 and installed in March 2025. Separately, the blog cites a firsthand account from a reader alleging that the practice involved a woman delivering what functioned as the homily during Mass under the name "commentary." When Atilla the Hun stormed Italy in the year 452, he was met by the Sovereign Pontiff Pope Leo the Great. The Hungarian chronicles record that the warrior received from Heaven the following message: "Hearken to the command of the Lord God, Jesus Christ. Thy pride shall not allow you to enter into the holy city where the bodies of my Apostles lie. Return. Later, one of your descendents will come to Rome with humility, and there I will cause him to receive a crown that shall last forever." King Stephen of Hungary fulfilled the promise God made to Atilla Attila thereupon recrossed the Alps, and had only just time to reach the Danube before he died. But, in the days of St. Stephen the heavenly promise was fulfilled. Indeed, Stephen inherited from his father Géza the dukedom of Hungary that had only a sprinkling of Catholics among the wild Magyars. He left it as a kingdom recognized by the Pope Sylvester II and a people firmly established in the Holy Faith. He made two Codes of Law, in which …Ավելին
